Paris! 10-16.2.07

Somehow I never got arround to posting any pictures from Paris! Which is very sad, since it's now a month since Siobhan and I got back. We were over there from the 10th to the 16th of February - Siobhan was sick for a day or two, so we didn't go to as many places as we planned. We also went to Eurodisney, but I didn't take my camera that day, so Siobhan still has all those pictures.
I'm just going to pick a few of the better ones from my selection...

On our first day, we walked from our hôtel to the Arc de Triomphe. All the shops were closed, cos it was Sunday, but we though this bakery's display was pretty cool... This picture isn't fantastic, but oh well, you'll live.
You have to admit, it is pretty impressive. Of course, it would be even more so if the picture were larger. This is taken from the Champs Elysee side, as we arrived at the Place de Gaulle (the big roundabout). Sorry, I don't think I'll be bothering with all my accents on letters.

Hopefully I won't be in too much trouble with Siobhan for posting this -but I like this photo. The obelisk comes from Luxor. There are varying stories as to whether the French got it legitimately. Either way, it's pretty cool - and shiny!
One of the few pictures we got someone else to take for us. Actually the guy had almost the same camera as me. (And he was the second solitary Asian person who asked us to take a picture within about 10m). Oh, and yeah, that's the Eiffel Tower in the background.

ooh look, I'm up the Eiffel Tower.

One thing I hate with cameras is that you can't take photos of yourself the way you want. Here I am outside the Palace at Versailles, by the way.

The Moulin Rouge! It was quite close to where we stayed -I found it by accident when Siobhan was sick.

Siobhan in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Actually, the back half or it was being repaired, so half of the backdrop to that picture is actually a reflection!

The Basilique du Sacre-Coeur. I love the colour of the sky in this picture - it was getting dark, and they'd just turned on the uplights.
